Day of Treatment

portland-or-home-ketamine You MUST bring a Government Issued Photo ID with you for your first appointment. You will be required to have a trusted friend or family member drive you and pick you up from your infusion appointments. They do not need to stay with you during you entire infusion. Upon completion of your infusion they will be expected to also transport you home since you will not be able to drive or operate heavy machinery until the next day.

You will have an IV started in your arm, hand or leg to facilitate the infusion of the ketamine.

We will be closely monitoring your vital signs during the course of the infusion.

The treatment time for ketamine infusion for depression is 1 hour. Some possible side-effects include dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, and hallucinations. Versed, or Zofran for example, can be added if hallucinations or nausea occur.

Cancellation policy : There is a $ 100 fee for canceling a set appointment with less than 48 hours notice.

Please note: In order to be a patient at Portland Ketamine Clinic you must have a referral from a psychiatrist. We can NOT accept referrals from ANY other mental health care providers incl. MHNP, therapists or psychologists. Patients will also be required to get monthly referrals from their psychiatrist.
