The Benefits of Ketamine Infusions Administered by an Anesthesiologist

Ketamine infusions, when administered by one of our qualified anesthesiologists, offer several compelling advantages for our patients seeking relief from treatment-resistant depression such as Major Depressive Disorder (MDO), and chronic pain conditions like Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) also referred to Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) as well as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

Anesthesiologists possess specialized training in the safe and precise administration of ketamine, ensuring the optimal dosage tailored to each patient's unique needs. Their expertise in managing anesthesia-related side effects, such as respiratory depression and blood pressure fluctuations, ensures a smooth and secure infusion experience. With vigilant monitoring throughout the procedure, our doctors will promptly address any potential complications, fostering a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.

How long does ketamine infusion therapy last?

Initial series of 6 infusions will take place every other day for a period of 12-14 days.  Although we don’t recommend varying too much from this treatment protocol we will customize the treatments to help meet your personal and travel needs.  Subsequent single booster infusions may be required to keep your symptoms at bay.  Resolution of symptoms may last anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks

Though ketamine was not originally approved for these conditions by the FDA.  The OFF-LABEL use of ketamine for mental health is very safe and done in a physician controlled and monitored setting in our office.  There will be an anesthesiologist and a paramedic present during your treatment.
Since the use of Ketamine is OFF-LABEL insurance companies or  Medicaid/Medicare will NOT COVER its use for treating depression.  We can only accept cash or credit cards as payment. We can not accept checks of any kind.

Many medications that we use in mainstream medicine have been discovered to be helpful in treating other diseases.  These include Rogaine (Minoxidil) which was originally used to treat high blood pressure was later found to help in hair loss or alopecia.  These medicines represent alternative uses of FDA approved medications.

Testimonials

"I recently completed the six infusion treatment from Dr. Abreu at the Seattle Ketamine Clinic.  I am astounded by the results;  I can say without hesitation that it has completely eradicated any depression symptoms.  I didn’t expect this much relief from the Ketamine."

“My Mom seems so much more relaxed and optimistic and cheerful and can enjoy herself more. It kind of reminded me that she used to be that way when I was a young kid. She's pretty blown away at how much better she feels compared to just one week ago! Thanks so much for helping her get back to her real self."

- Patients daughter

"I was efficient, clear headed and most notably, the feelings of dread and stress that used to invade my thoughts were gone.
